Our first meal in Amsterdam starts here and it is a satisfying choice. As its name hints, Batoni Khinkali serves Georgian food in a more refined manner. Khinkali, or the enlarged version of xiao long bao, is juicy and tasty. Khachapuri, or cheese bun, is. hearty and decadent. Service is fine while price is definitely on the upper end.

Three starters for โฌ6 at Batoni Khinkali. So far so good, but we were really here for the eponymous khinkali and the photogenic khachapuri. The former are the restaurant's signature dumplings - steamed savoury dough stuffed with cheese, meat or mushrooms. The cheese dumpling was probably my favourite, being lightly dotted with fresh herbs.

Bij Batoni Khinkali in Amsterdam koken ze Georgisch met een extra lepel liefde. Als je over het Beukenplein in Amsterdam-Oost loopt, valt het kleine restaurant je waarschijnlijk niet meteen op. De smalle voorgevel van Batoni Khinkali zit verscholen tussen twee meer opvallende zaken en ook als je door de ramen naar binnen tuurt denk je niet.

June 8, 2023. Great place for Georgian food, the Khinkali are very nice and the terrace has a great vibe. the menu is not the longest but as long as you checked in advance is a great place to go :) May 29, 2023. Service was very poor, didn't paid any attention and their faces didn't seemed happy.
